...and most of it is good. If there is anyone out there who remembers I have a blog and actually wishes I wrote to it, I apologize. I tend to blog as I exercise: with great enthusiasm for a couple of weeks, and then not at all for a few months.
But as I mentioned, good things are afoot. My husband has a job! A good one, in North Carolina, where we were hoping to relocate. So he's there now, and I'm here with the kids. I'm so grateful that he found a job reasonably quickly. I'm thrilled that I'll be establishing a permanent address in the state where I've wanted to live since I was nine. I'm giddy that, assuming we stay there, my children will be eligible for in-state tuition at North Carolina's great public universities. And I'm over the moon that I'll be close to family and friends I haven't seen much (or at all) since I graduated from law school.
Now all we have to do is sell our dream house and find (or build) a new one. And that, my friends, is a post for another day.

Just remember that the next house doesn't have to be your dream house right away. Either it may be a temporary way station, or it may evolve into your dream house as you change it, and as your dreams change and mature. By the time I knew what my dream house was like, it was already too big for my nest-leaving family. But where I live now is pretty darn awesome! Enjoy North Carolina.
