You know how sometimes you're having just a few potato chips with the merest smudge of French onion dip, and then just a few more, and then there's only a few chips left in the bag, so you might as well finish them off, but then there's a little bit of dip left around the bottom of the tub, but it would be piggish to eat it with a spoon, but when you try to scoop it up with the remaining itty-bitty chip fragments they're not big enough, so then you dump the crumbs from the chips bag INTO the French onion dip container, and make a sort of chip/dip slurry, and THEN you eat it with a spoon? But then you sort of need some sweet to balance it out, so you eat two six ten seventeen chocolate eggs because the kids will probably never notice them missing from their Easter baskets, only they do, and you have to either own up to it, which would make the kids cry, or actually lie to your kids, and then you're officially an addict, because isn't that what addicts do, lie about their consumption of the addicting substance?
Yeah. That's the kind of week I had last week.

I'm doing the carb-cravings this week. Pasta BEWARE!

I have you beat.
I ate everything in sight, whether I was hungry or not, all last week due to my daughter's stay in the hospital. It didn't help that they had great food there, either.
How sad is it to think, "Gee, I hope my girl doesn't want that piece of chocolate cake?"

The spring break/Easter candy combination is particularly dangereous. Throw in rainy weather, PMS, Girl Scout cookies, and fighting kids and we might as well give up any pretense of not eating everything in the house that isn't nailed down. Plus: I ate the heads of my girls' chocolate bunnies, hoping they wouldn't notice. They did. I had to lie. Glad I'm not the only one.

Oh I needed that laugh! I have been having one of those weeks as well except it was queso and corn chips with some absconded see's candy from my kids easter baskets....Ah well. Hang in there, right ?

Am I the only one who still fills a basket for me? I don't eat any less, but I don't have the guilt of stealing from children.......

My kids are too young to count. That makes the chocolate guilt-free, in my complex diet-cheating morality code.

I have to laugh in recognition. Guilty as charged.

So do you have a web-cam or just a plain ol' spy camera hidden in my kitchen?!
